Staying connected to family and friends is important, especially as kids gain more independence. But that doesn’t mean a smartphone is the only option! If your child only needs to call or text, a basic landline, "dumb" phone, or smartwatch can meet that need without introducing the risks that come with internet access, social media, and app stores. Please consider starting with a basic communication tool.
